Buddhism Postcard Set

This is a set of postcards featuring artworks
that were exhibited on April 29
at Ryūkō-ji Temple in Hiroshima City
during the event
“Culture of the Universe.”

Yakushi Nyorai → Gakkō Bosatsu / Yakushi Nyorai / Nikkō Bosatsu
A piece created through a connection
to the Kondō (Golden Hall) of Tō-ji Temple.
I was told,
“Breathe in front of this painting.
Your illness will be healed.”

Namu, Me
A piece felt through a Buddhist mandala,
with Dainichi Nyorai at the center.
I was told,
“The present you
is the future your past self once wished for.
Believe in yourself and live.”

Gate of Buddhism
With the energy of a Niō guardian statue.
I was told to have the resolve
to walk straight through the center of the gate.

Incarnation
A piece that says,
“You may be tempted,
but do not be led astray.”

Overlapping Time
Different layers of values overlap
and form what we call reality.

Eye
Eyes of many beings—
whales, dragons, and more.
They carry the power to see through everything.
By facing this painting,
you can face yourself.

Life
Life itself.
