The Red World

This one is rare again. (laughs)
A pyramid appeared.

For a time, I was deeply drawn into Egyptian mythology,
and I have a personal connection with the goddess Ma’at,
so perhaps that influence found its way into this piece—
though I can’t say for certain.

Unexpectedly, the entire work was finished in vivid red.
That, too, is unusual for me. (laughs)
This was definitely one of those paintings that felt guided,
as if it wanted to be painted on its own.

This piece may resonate especially with those who feel a connection
to Egyptian mythology or the Egyptian gods.
Or perhaps, if you find yourself drawn to this artwork,
it may be a sign that Egypt has some kind of connection to you.
