The Play

This piece began after I was deeply moved
by the song “The Player.”

The base carried a feeling of
peace, compassion, and quiet love.
I kept it unfinished for a long time,
leaving it just as it was.

In October 2022,
when I decided to paint a requiem,
I felt that this piece should become a planet.

A requiem —
for rest.

Peace.
Compassion.
Gentle rest.

Rather than mourning,
the energy here feels like
a calm, loving breath —
a sense of safety wrapped in love.

That feeling resonates most deeply with me.
